A Snapshot of Your Day

In response to a new project addition within the Global Service Operations team in Brno, this role drives the commercial execution of service projects for Industrial Steam Turbines & Generators. The Commercial Project Manager ensures financial transparency, risk mitigation, and profitable project execution in alignment with Siemens Energy's strategic financial objectives.\n\nTo address these business aims, this role focuses on contract management, financial controlling, risk and opportunity management, and stakeholder communication.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Project Financial Controlling & Reporting
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, and actual costing to ensure profitability targets are met
• Prepare monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for project management and senior leadership
• Monitor cash flow, billing milestones, and accounts receivable to optimize project working capital
• Contract, Claim & Risk Management
• Analyze and manage commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, tax, and corporate guidelines
• Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial risks while maximizing opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Formulate and negotiate commercial claims and change orders with customers and subcontractors
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Process Optimization
• Partner with technical Project Managers to align technical execution with commercial objectives
• Support internal and external audits by providing transparent project documentation and financial evidence
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial project management processes and tools

What You Bring

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field
• Typically 4+ years of professional experience in commercial project management, financial controlling, or contract management
• Experience within the energy, engineering, or heavy machinery sector is preferred
• Certified Commercial Project Manager (preferred)
• PMI or IPMA Certification (preferred)
• Financial & Commercial Controlling: project controlling & forecasting, budgeting & cost accounting, cash flow management
• SAP (FI/CO and PS modules)
• Contractual & legal expertise: contract management & negotiation, claim & change order management, risk & opportunity assessment
• Good communication & collaboration, analytical thinking & problem solving
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
