This is a fast-paced job that works at customer sites to support the energy industry in many different welding and turbine repair applications. Jobs very from welding support to blading on varies components. You will be expected to travel domestically and internationally, potentially on short notice.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Be engaged in performing welding operations to meet the required manufacturing and engineering specifications for turbine generator field services equipment.
Ability and willingness for Heavy Travel (All business expenses are paid)
Ability and willingness to work a high percentage of overtime - including 12-hour shifts.
Mechanical skills for precision assembly of turbine blades and components including hand riveting
What You Bring
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of prior training resulting in Diploma or Certificate from technical/trade school or apprenticeship in welding or manufacturing
Diploma major in Welding Technology preferred
Basic computer skills to complete job-related expenses
Skilled in use of manual SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW welding processes
Capable of passing 6G position heavy wall weld test using both GTAW and SMAW process on both carbon and stainless steel.
Ability to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access
