The Maintenance Person will carry out maintenance tasks as directed by the Store Manager or relevant management team.
Responsible for a range of interior and exterior maintenance duties across the restaurant.
Carries out general maintenance and groundskeeping duties, including power washing, goods inwards, painting, minor DIY, and other maintenance tasks, with minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
The Maintenance Person will report to the Store Manager when on site and carry out a range of proactive and reactive maintenance tasks as required.
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in maintenance and will preferably hold a qualification in a relevant trade or craft discipline, such as plumbing or carpentry.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience and a good working knowledge of general maintenance is essential.
The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, hardworking and willing to learn new skills in a fast-changing environment.
Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, consistently delivering high-quality finishes.
THE JOB
Respond to maintenance requests from the Store Manager or other relevant managers, such as the Site Operations Manager.
Carry out all duties as directed willingly and efficiently, while taking the initiative to identify and complete additional tasks where appropriate, reducing the need for return visits.
Be flexible and able to carry out a variety of maintenance tasks, including painting, repairing seating, replacing ceiling tiles and lights, and other general repairs, sometimes at short notice.
Carry out all work effectively and efficiently, with minimum disruption to customers and restaurant operations.
Comply with all health and safety standards and procedures and ensure that others do likewise.
Be responsible for ordering and costing relevant supplies when required to complete maintenance works.
Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure an efficient and consistent maintenance service across the restaurants.
Plan and schedule maintenance work when attending a site to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Always be conscious of the safety of yourself, colleagues, and customers.
Take ownership of your work, demonstrate pride in your workmanship, and take accountability for the quality of the finished work.
