QA Engineer (Manufacturing)

About the role

As a QA Engineer (Manufacturing) based in Tuas, you will play a key role in ensuring manufacturing quality, compliance, and operational excellence across regulated production environments. Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and cross-functional teams, you will help deliver reliable, high-quality products by applying proven quality engineering practices, supporting validation and risk management activities, and driving continuous improvement. Responsibilities:

  • Support manufacturing operations in achieving quality, availability, and value objectives through the application of established Quality Engineering methods.
  • Participate in new product, process, technology, and manufacturing capability introductions, ensuring quality requirements are embedded from the start.
  • Contribute to manufacturing readiness activities including quality planning, risk assessments, validation, control strategy execution, and launch support.
  • Apply Manufacturing QA standards, tools, and best practices to drive consistency and adoption across manufacturing teams.
  • Analyze quality and manufacturing data, identify trends, support investigations, and recommend preventive actions to improve future outcomes.
  • Help strengthen quality systems, processes, and engineering practices to improve Right First Time performance and reduce recurring quality issues.
  • Provide quality and technical guidance through training, consultation, and coaching on topics such as problem-solving, risk management, validation, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and other stakeholders to ensure quality considerations are integrated into process, equipment, automation, MES, and digital manufacturing changes.
  • Support digital quality, automation, advanced manufacturing, and transformation initiatives through testing, implementation, and operational adoption activities.
  • Assist with compliance activities including audits, risk mitigation, and adherence to the Resmed Quality Management System and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience within a regulated, high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, Manufacturing Quality, risk management, process validation, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to support investigations, validation activities, quality planning, digital assurance deliverables, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to identify trends, support decision-making, and recommend practical improvements.
  • Strong planning, organization, and ownership of assigned work.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive learning mindset with interest in developing expertise across digital quality, automation, advanced manufacturing, and Quality by Design.

Preferred Experience

  • Background in Quality and/or Regulatory roles within the medical device industry.
  • Exposure to MES, digital quality systems, CSV/CSA, automation, advanced analytics, or advanced quality planning methodologies.
  • Demonstrated use of AI or data-driven technologies to improve efficiency, quality insights, or decision-making.
