Senior Data Center Facilities Development

About the Role

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is looking for a Senior Data Center Facilities Development professional to support the delivery of AI-ready and high-density data center infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur.

This is a site-based role with day-to-day responsibility for construction execution, contractor coordination, quality, safety, programme control, and commissioning readiness. You’ll work closely with design, procurement, commissioning, operations, contractors, and specialist vendors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and in line with project requirements.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Lead on-site delivery across base build, fit-out readiness, power, cooling, containment, controls, security, and enabling works.
• Manage contractors and vendors across CSA, MEP, BMS/controls, fire, security, and specialist packages.
• Coordinate construction sequencing and trade interfaces to protect key milestones and remove constraints.
• Drive construction workflows including RFIs, submittals, ITPs, inspections, NCRs, punch lists, progressive turnover, and closeout.
• Maintain strong site readiness across access, permits, RAMS, workface planning, logistics, and controlled environments.
• Partner with commissioning and operations teams to ensure test readiness, evidence packs, redlines, as-builts, and handover requirements are complete.
• Track daily and weekly progress, look-aheads, risks, and blockers, and escalate issues early.
• Ensure all work complies with approved designs, project standards, safety requirements, and local regulations.

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience delivering data center or mission-critical construction in a site-based role.
• Strong understanding of MEP and critical infrastructure systems.
• Experience managing multiple contractors in complex, high-pressure environments.
• Strong QA/QC discipline and experience with inspections, ITPs, NCRs, and closeout documentation.
• Experience supporting the transition from construction through commissioning and handover.
• Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Aconex, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint, or similar.
• Must be based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Nice to Have

• Experience with high-density or AI-ready data center environments.
• Exposure to accelerated fit-outs or compressed commissioning schedules.
• Engineering, construction, or trade qualifications.
• Safety leadership credentials.
