Senior Data Analyst

We have partnered with our client in their search for a Power BI Developer with strong SQL, Alteryx, Python, Databricks, and Power BI experience to design, develop, and communicate impactful data insights. This role balances technical development with stakeholder-facing presentation, requiring both analytical expertise and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Write efficient, well-structured SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data
• Use Python for data manipulation, automation, and advanced analytics
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable insights
• Spend approximately 50% of time building and enhancing reports and 50% presenting findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance across reporting solutions
• Document data models, report logic, and development standards
• Continuously improve reporting processes and visualization best practices

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Power BI Developer, BI Developer, or similar role
• Strong expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, and visualization best practices)
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and transforming large datasets
• Hands-on experience programming in Python for data analysis or automation
• Proven ability to present technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Snowflake)
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and performance optimization
• Prior experience supporting executive or client-facing reporting

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to balance technical development with business engagement
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder management capabilities
