Working Environment and Location

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed term contract role based in either Sydney, NSW or Melbourne VIC.

Purpose and Scope

Purpose & Scope

Due to recent demands within the business, we are now looking to recruit a key account manager for our Ophthalmology business unit. This is a newly created position with a view to becoming a permanent position. Your role will be leading strategic customer engagement and account development nationally to support the successful growth of our product in Australia.

This is an in-field position and a countrywide role.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop, own and execute the national key account strategy for the product, aligned with the Australian brand and commercial strategy.
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access and other relevant functions to develop aligned approaches to priority accounts
• Identify, prioritise and develop high-value accounts and customer networks nationally.
• Translate national strategy into clear account-specific objectives, actions and measurable outcomes.

Essential Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated pharmaceutical industry experience within ophthalmology, including direct experience engaging and building relationships with ophthalmologists.

• Demonstrated experience in strategic key account management, including development
• Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with senior external stakeholders.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience.

• Established professional networks within the Australian ophthalmology community.
• Experienced within retinal disease or a related ophthalmology specialty.
