This position is responsible for tendering projects for the Digital Energy division of Schneider Electric Japan Holdings Ltd. The role ensures accurate and timely delivery of tender documents, in compliance with internal policies as well as local regulations.
What will you do?
Analyze customer RFQs/RFPs and develop proposal strategies based on technical requirements, commercial considerations, and contractual terms.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Procurement.
Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including cost estimation, BOM preparation, pricing, and the identification of assumptions and risks.
Respond to customer inquiries regarding technical and commercial matters and support negotiations with customers.
Conduct risk analysis during the proposal stage and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
Review and coordinate contractual terms, including payment terms, logistics, taxation, export control, and other relevant conditions.
Manage internal approval processes and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Manage and maintain tender-related documentation.
Drive continuous improvement of the bidding process and related templates.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
Basic knowledge of electrical engineering, including an understanding of I/O lists, device lists, point lists, and related documentation.
Knowledge of instrumentation, covering both hardware and software aspects.
At least 5 years of practical experience in bidding, proposal, and/or engineering-related roles.
Knowledge and experience in cost estimation and quotation preparation.
English: TOEIC score equivalent to 700 or above.
Japanese: JLPT N2 or equivalent proficiency.

Who will you report to?
This position reports to the Digital Energy Application Centre Director and is part of a team of over twenty members, in Schneider Electric Japan Holdings Ltd. The role involves close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including the China East Asia One Solutions organization, Local & Zone Finance, Tax, Treasury, and Business Teams.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related technical discipline. (A degree in Business or equivalent experience combined with strong technical exposure may also be considered.)
· 5+ years of professional experience in tendering, bid management, proposal engineering, or commercial engineering roles within engineering-driven industries
· Business-level English proficiency (TOEIC 700 or equivalent) required for reading English RFQs and engaging with overseas customers and global stakeholders.
· Business-level Japanese proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent) required for reading Japanese RFQs and communicating with local customers, partners, and internal teams.
