Solution Architect, EcoStruxure IT in Multiple Locations

Schneider Electric · Boston, United States

About the role

We are looking for a customer-focused Solution Architect to join our EcoStruxure IT team in North America. In this pre-sales role, you will combine technical expertise with commercial insight to shape solutions, support strategic opportunities, and accelerate the growth of our software business. Working closely with customers, sales overlay teams, Professional Services, and partners, you will develop a deep understanding of customers, their business goals, and their pain points, then translate these insights and technical requirements into solutions that modernize operations, improve resilience, and deliver measurable value. You will also help ensure that proposed solutions are practical to deploy and transition smoothly from pre-sales into implementation.

You will initially focus on strategic customer and partner opportunities across North America. As you build credibility and demonstrate impact, the role may expand to include mentoring other architects and helping develop Solution Architect capabilities across North and South America.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with account teams and sales overlay teams to qualify opportunities, align expertise, shape the solution strategy, and win strategic software business.
  • Engage customers and partners through structured discovery to understand their business goals, operational challenges, pain points, and technical requirements.
  • Design end-to-end EcoStruxure IT solutions that deliver measurable customer value.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts.
  • Support technical qualification, RFP responses, and solution positioning.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on digital infrastructure, DCIM, monitoring, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Work closely with Professional Services to validate scope, deployment requirements, technical dependencies, and implementation assumptions before customer commitment.
  • Ensure a clear handover from pre-sales to Professional Services by documenting the agreed architecture, scope, risks, responsibilities, and expected customer outcomes.
  • Support partner enablement and help grow the EcoStruxure IT ecosystem across North America.

What You Bring

  • Experience in customer-facing pre-sales, solution architecture, sales engineering, or technical consulting.
  • Proven ability to translate business challenges and technical requirements into clear solution designs and value propositions.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills with both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience collaborating across sales, product, engineering, services, and partner teams.
  • A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customers, partners, and internal events.

Preferred Experience

  • Data center infrastructure, DCIM, IT operations, cloud platforms, monitoring, or sustainability solutions.
  • Enterprise software demonstrations, technical workshops, proof-of-concepts, and RFP responses.
  • Partner enablement or solution selling through channel and alliance ecosystems.
  • Digital twins, AI-enabled operations, integrations, APIs, or data-driven optimization.

Why Join Us?

  • Work with some of the world's largest enterprises, colocation providers, and mission-critical facilities.
  • Influence strategic opportunities that shape the future of digital infrastructure management.
  • Be part of a global team driving innovation in software, data, AI, and sustainability.
  • Enjoy significant opportunities for professional growth and career advancement.
