As an ADAS Technical Acquisition Manager (TAM), you will play a key role in ensuring the successful acquisition of customer projects by driving technical and cross-functional coordination across internal development teams, platform organizations, and customer project stakeholders. Your work will directly contribute to customer satisfaction, project transparency, and the effective integration of platform capabilities into series customer projects.
Job Description
As an Technical Acquisition Manager (TAM), you will lead the technical and organizational coordination of customer Acquisition with a clear focus on successful delivery, structured execution, and professional customer communication. This role requires close collaboration with the platform organization, fast adaptation to changing customer needs, strong leadership of the acquisition project team, and the ability to communicate customer expectations effectively into the internal organization while ensuring transparency, proactive risk management, efficient escalation handling, and reliable budget adherence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Acquisition Delivery & Platform Coordination
Take end-to-end responsibility for the successful technical delivery of acquisition projects in alignment with agreed scope, milestones, and quality expectations.
Maintain close day-to-day collaboration with the platform organization to ensure feasibility, alignment on dependencies, and timely integration of platform deliverables into customer projects.
Ensure high transparency on acquisition project status, issues, risks, and decisions for both customer and internal stakeholders.
2. Customer Collaboration & Communication
Act as a professional and reliable interface toward the customer, ensuring clear, solution-oriented, and business-appropriate communication in all project phases.
Translate customer expectations, priorities, and change requests into clear internal communication toward development teams, platform stakeholders, and management.
Provide regular feedback from customer interactions to the platform and internal teams in order to support continuous improvement and better alignment with customer needs.
3. Technical Leadership of acquisition projects & Execution
Lead and steer the cross-functional acquisition project team with a structured, target-oriented working style to ensure timely issue resolution and delivery progress.
Drive proactive risk management by identifying critical topics early, defining mitigation actions, and escalating effectively when needed.
Take ownership in critical situations by leading task-force activities, coordinating recovery measures, and aligning stakeholders around clear action plans.
4. Technical Acquisition Project Management
Define and maintain acquisition project objectives, milestones, delivery plans, governance mechanisms, and financial steering for acquisition customer projects.
Ensure budget compliance and support EBIT targets by proactively monitoring project costs, delivery impact, and financial risks, while driving timely corrective actions when needed.
Ensure structured tracking of actions, open issues, decisions, and stakeholder communication across internal and customer interfaces.
Adapt quickly to changing acquisition project conditions, customer priorities, and escalation scenarios while maintaining delivery focus and team alignment.
Qualifications
Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 5 years of TAM experience, preferably in the ADAS domain.
Demonstrated, hands-on experience in managing acquisition customer projects with strong focus on delivery, stakeholder alignment, and customer satisfaction.
Deep technical understanding of camera architectures, imaging pipelines, sensors, calibration, and HW/SW interfaces.
Strong customer-facing communication skills combined with confident stakeholder management across customers, platform teams, and internal management.
Knowledge of automotive development frameworks (ASPICE, safety, validation).
Fluent English skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in leading escalations, task-force activities, or recovery plans in complex automotive development projects.
German language skills are a plus.
Soft Skills
Strong structured thinking, ownership, and execution-oriented leadership.
High adaptability and resilience in dynamic customer and project environments.
Ability to lead teams, moderate critical discussions, and communicate complex topics clearly and professionally.
