Oerlikon is seeking a reliable and customer‑focused Delivery Driver to support our Agawam production facility. In this role you will be responsible for operating company vans and delivery vehicles to ensure the timely and accurate pickup and delivery of customer products to and from the Agawam coating facility. This role involves loading and unloading materials, goods, and equipment between various destinations as assigned. The Delivery Driver also prepares, receives, and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods. When not performing delivery duties, the Delivery Driver will support facility operations by assisting with production-related tasks and other assigned responsibilities.

Perform timely and accurate pickup and delivery of customer parts
Maintain delivery logs and shipping documentation with a high level of accuracy
Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional communication
Ensure company vehicle is properly maintained, serviced, and kept clean
Safely load and unload customer parts, following handling requirements
Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safe driving practices
Represent Oerlikon Balzers positively at customer locations and while on the road
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous driving or delivery experience preferred
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong customer service and verbal/written communication skills
Dependable, punctual, and detail‑oriented
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
Experience with Microsoft Office
Knowledge of industrial cutting tools (e.g.; drills, etc.) preferred, but not required
Individual must have strong work ethic, be high-energy, and detailed-oriented
A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.

Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 44 lbs.
Frequent handling of materials or products.
Ability to stand or walk for 8–12 hours per shift.
Moving between workstations or throughout the facility.

Ability to use hands and fingers for grasping, assembling, or operating tools/machinery.

Working in hot, cold, or noisy conditions.
Exposure to dust, fumes, or chemicals (with proper PPE).
Ability to perform repetitive motions for extended periods.

Oerlikon is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position, which is $20.00 to $21.75 per hour. Some positions within Oerlikon may also offer eligibility to participate in a discretionary incentive program. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for the role will be based on a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, internal equity, job location, work experience, education, training, certifications, licenses, etc. Therefore, as compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each individual, it is likely that not all applicants will be hired at the highest end of the listed compensation range. Our total compensation package goes beyond base compensation and it will include a competitive benefits package starting with 2 weeks paid time off accrued on a monthly basis, 12 holidays, 48 hours personal/sick time (exception for NY where we follow State law,) medical, dental, vision, 401K, holidays, pet insurance and tuition reimbursement all effective day one of hire.
