The Senior Attorney will work as part of a team of regional legal and compliance subject matter experts and will be expected to translate global compliance expectations into practical, locally relevant guidance. The role includes the following responsibilities:
The role requires strong familiarity with international anticorruption laws and standards, including the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the UK Bribery Act, and related books-and-records and internal-controls expectations. Experience with investigations, third-party risk management, compliance program assessment, and remediation is essential.
• Assess legal, regulatory, reputational, and operational compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation steps.
• Advise and influence senior business leaders on anticorruption, fraud, and integrity compliance matters.
• Lead cross-functional compliance initiatives, including training, monitoring, control enhancements, and remediation.
• Develop, improve, and standardize processes that support a risk-based compliance program.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and change leader who promotes ethical decision-making and accountability.
• Manage investigations, external counsel, and related budgets efficiently and effectively.
• Identify emerging risks from enforcement trends, business changes, audits, investigations, and data analytics.
• At least 8 years of experience in anticorruption, antibribery, investigations, fraud, anti-money laundering, sanctions, compliance, ethics, or a related legal/compliance field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Juris Doctor, equivalent non-U.S. law degree, or comparable legal training strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and ability to work effectively with diverse teams and cultures.
• Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior management and cross-functional partners.
• Experience providing practical legal and compliance advice in a multinational company, law firm, or corporate legal department.
• Experience with FCPA, UK Bribery Act, third-party due diligence, investigations, training, internal controls, or compliance program remediation.
• Strong initiative, ownership mindset, and ability to drive priorities independently.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and exercise sound judgment in complex situations.
• Credibility, discretion, and executive presence when handling sensitive matters.
• Ability to build strong relationships with business and functional partners while maintaining independence and appropriate challenge.
