DUTIES: Lead cross-functional lab operations, ensuring robust test planning, execution readiness, and continuous improvement across the enterprise. Coordinate with stakeholders to secure timely, high-quality completion of lab test requests, maintaining alignment with strategic and program objectives. Monitor and audit Flammability Limits / Maximum Allowable Quantities (MAQ) to ensure regulatory compliance, permit adherence, and safe operations. Track and manage Device Under Test (DUT) shipments, test readiness, and demand forecasting to optimize lab resource and capacity planning. Provide shipping and logistics support and coordination for the lab, ensuring accurate documentation and on-time movement of DUTs and test materials. Perform and document Method 9 observations for environmental compliance and traceability, including running audits with EPA for compliance verification. Oversee calibration schedules for mobile and fixed lab equipment; audit calibration processes to ensure traceability and compliance with internal and external standards. Facilitate Business Plan Deployment (BPD) activities, including Method 9 traceability, chamber utilization reporting, and ESA cost tracking for BEV3 and related test programs. Lead weekly CTMS test request and Battery Systems Lab (BSL) priority meetings to manage incoming demand, validate request completeness, and ensure transparent, risk-based prioritization. Audit DUT cards and Quality Gates to drive data integrity, timely test execution, and metric-based process improvements. Champion continuous improvement through TIP (Throughput Improvement Process), PFMEA development, and cross-team collaboration to streamline CTMS test requests, work orders, shipping, and chemistry approvals. Conduct root cause analysis for test execution faults; coordinate corrective actions, escalations, and resource allocation to prevent recurrence. Maintain and improve lab documentation and process standards, including the BSL Onboarding Handbook, standard work, and monthly HPU calculations. Ensure new cell chemistries are properly evaluated, approved, and documented within CTMS in alignment with environmental permits, safety standards, and internal testing protocols. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 days In-office, 2 days remote - Must be able to report to local office.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field of study. Two (2) years of experience as a Battery Systems Lab Project Coordinator or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience in the following: High voltage battery testing, environmental regulatory requirements, ISO 17025 implementation, and flammability limits, including associated documentation, tracking, and compliance activities; CTMS to create, track, and maintain accurate test requests, DUT records, and chemistry approvals; and Execute and improve incoming and outgoing quality controls, including inspection of DUTs, verification of documentation, and feedback of issues into corrective action and continuous improvement processes.
