Global Category Development Specialist - Chocolate Confectionery

About the Role:

As Global Category Development Specialist for Chocolate Confectionery, you will help shape how Ferrero grows one of its most iconic categories around the world. Working from our Luxembourg headquarters, you will turn shopper, category and market insights into practical recommendations that support growth, strengthen customer conversations and inspire action across markets.

You will work closely with teams in Category Management, Consumer & Shopper Understanding, Revenue Growth Management, Marketing and local markets. In this role, you will contribute to projects that connect strategy with execution, while growing your expertise and creating a visible impact on category development across channels and regions.

Main Responsibilities:

You will help develop and deploy the global Chocolate Category Growth Strategy by leveraging shopper, category and customer insights, to identify growth opportunities and to support the creation of category vision, growth recommendations and in-store strategies across key chocolate segments..

• You help define shopper led growth opportunities by understanding category dynamics, shopper behaviors, purchase drivers and emerging trends across channels and markets.

• You coordinate strategic category projects, keep priorities on track and help markets adapt global frameworks to local shopper and retail realities.

• You create and continuously improve playbooks, toolkits, trade selling stories that help markets bring strategies to life and position Ferrero as a trusted category growth partner.

• You analyze category performance, identify growth opportunities and barriers, support innovation projects with shopper and category insights, and translate findings into clear recommendations that drive impact and growth.

• You contribute to the deployment of category management methodologies, best practices and capability building initiatives that strengthen Category First thinking across the organization.

About You:

You bring a university degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing or a related field, along with around 4 to 6 years of experience in Category Management, Category Development or a related commercial role within FMCG. Experience working with customers or key accounts is considered a strong advantage.

• You can analyze data, identify meaningful insights and translate them into clear recommendations, compelling stories and impactful presentations.

• You have experience working across functions and cultures, and you confidently collaborate with colleagues from different markets and disciplines.

• You are comfortable managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic international environment.

• You are skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, and you have worked with syndicated market data sources such as NielsenIQ, Circana (IRI) or Kantar. Knowledge of Think-Cell is required, while familiarity with Power BI or VBA can further support your success.
