Partner, Infrastructure Consenting and Capital Projects

ERM (consultancy) · London, United Kingdom

About the role

ERM, a global leader in sustainability consulting, is seeking a UK-based Partner to support the continued growth of our Capital Project Delivery (CPD) business across Northern Europe and wider EMEA.

This role sits at the heart of ERM's ambitious growth strategy focused on helping clients deliver major capital projects from early-stage strategy and feasibility through financing, consenting, construction, operation and asset optimisation. Working within an established and rapidly growing Partner group, the successful candidate will combine strong client development capabilities with deep technical expertise in planning, EIA, ESIA, permitting and consenting for major infrastructure projects.

We are interested in speaking with individuals who have developed trusted relationships across sectors such as energy, transmission and distribution, mining and metals, data centres and digital infrastructure, industrial development, transport, marine infrastructure, and project finance. Experience may be grounded in planning, environmental assessment, permitting, financing support or broader major capital project delivery.

The appointee will join ERM's Capital Project Delivery team, comprising over 250 professionals in the UK and a global network of more than 8,000 experts. CPD supports clients across a diverse range of infrastructure sectors, helping them navigate increasingly complex regulatory, environmental and stakeholder challenges whilst accelerating project delivery and creating long-term value.

We are specifically interested in growth-oriented Partner profiles. Whilst specific sector expertise may vary, successful candidates will share a common ability to develop senior client relationships, identify opportunities across the capital project lifecycle and bring together multidisciplinary teams to help clients advance major infrastructure investments. Expertise in planning, EIA, ESIA, permitting, financing support or technical disciplines associated with major project development is particularly valued.

We are seeking individuals who can operate as both senior client developers and recognised subject matter experts within their chosen markets. Successful candidates will bring a track record of winning and delivering significant programmes of work, ideally spanning multiple stages of the capital project lifecycle.
