Doors & Automation Automatic Bi-Fold Doors for Ireland Automatic Bi-Fold Doors solutions throughout Ireland. Our Dublin-based team delivers professional installation and support across the Republic of Ireland. Bi-folding automatic doors consist of hinged door panels that fold back as they open, reducing the space required for operation. They are well suited to areas with limited side room or where a wide opening is required within a compact footprint. Their rapid opening and closing action makes them effective in busy commercial environments. These doors are ideal for commercial and industrial applications where conventional sliding or swing doors are not practical. They can be integrated with access control systems and triggered by various methods including sensors, push buttons, and remote controls. Electro Automation offers a range of bi-fold door solutions customised to your specific requirements and building design. All our automatic doors can be connected to access control systems and fire alarms which ensures the doors are automatically opened in the event of a fire to facilitate smoke extraction and speedy evacuation. Talk To Our Team Product Overview Automatic bi-fold doors are a space-efficient entrance solution designed for locations where traditional sliding or swing doors are not practical. Their folding panel design allows for a wide clear opening while minimising the space required for operation, making them suitable for tight or high-traffic environments. They are commonly used across commercial, retail, healthcare, and public buildings where reliable and efficient access is required. The system combines modern aesthetics with practical functionality, offering a clean entrance solution that supports both user flow and building performance. System Overview The system operates using an automated drive mechanism that controls the folding movement of the door panels. When activated by sensors, push buttons, or access control systems, the doors open smoothly and close automatically once the passage is clear, ensuring controlled and consistent operation. Built-in safety sensors continuously monitor movement to detect obstructions and prevent contact during operation. The system can also be configured with adjustable settings such as opening speed, hold-open time, and access direction, allowing it to be tailored to specific building requirements and traffic conditions. Applications & Benefits Automatic bi-fold doors are suitable for a wide range of environments including retail entrances, healthcare facilities, offices, and transport hubs. Their compact design makes them especially effective in areas where space is restricted but efficient pedestrian access is essential. The key benefits include improved space utilisation, faster pedestrian flow, and enhanced energy efficiency by reducing the time entrances remain open. They also support accessibility and hygiene by enabling hands-free operation, making them a practical solution for modern building requirements.
