About the Position

Do you want to do more than just explain cloud transformation and actually drive it forward for customers? Then take on a key role in B2B sales for Germany’s mid-market segment.

As a Technical Sales Specialist for SMEs (m/f/d/x), you will play a key role in helping our mid-market customers succeed. You will actively shape their digital transformation and position our innovative cloud solutions. Your primary focus will be acquiring new customers and strategically expanding existing customer relationships within the mid-market segment.

You will develop and implement tailored sales strategies for Public Cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and Open Telekom Cloud. Drawing on your strong consulting expertise, you will analyze customer requirements, present compelling solutions, and successfully lead negotiations. Your in-depth understanding of the mid-market enables you to provide customers with the right support and build long-term partnerships.<

Your Responsibilities

In your role as Technical Sales Specialist for SMEs (m/f/d/x), you will identify new customer potential, develop concrete sales opportunities, and support account teams in positioning cloud solutions within the mid-market segment. You will advise both existing and prospective customers on cloud, data center, and hybrid cloud strategies. Your responsibilities will also include:

• Analyzing existing IT landscapes and identifying opportunities for modernization, migration, and cloud adoption.
• Leading customer meetings, workshops, presentations, and proposal processes.
• Developing solution approaches based on Microsoft Azure, AWS, T-Cloud Public / Open Telekom Cloud, and hybrid infrastructure models.
• Advising customers on cloud migrations, data center transformations, and virtualization projects.
• Conducting cloud assessments, potential analyses, and customer workshops.
• Collaborating closely with Account Management, Presales, Solution Architects, and Delivery teams.
• Supporting cloud campaigns and go-to-market initiatives and managing opportunities from the initial customer discussion through to contract signing.

Your Profile

In addition to several years of experience in IT/cloud consulting, presales, solution selling, or IT infrastructure consulting, you have solid expertise in Microsoft Azure and AWS. Knowledge of Open Telekom Cloud / T-Cloud Public is an advantage.

You also bring

• A good understanding of traditional data center technologies, hybrid cloud architectures, and server, storage, and network infrastructures.
• Experience with cloud migrations, data center transformations, and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or comparable platforms.
• The ability to explain technical topics clearly and communicate them convincingly to both management and technical stakeholders.
• Cloud certifications, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Open Telekom Cloud certifications, are an advantage.
• A strong customer focus, initiative, team spirit, and a good understanding of commercial and business considerations.
• An interest in market trends such as AI, Cloud Native, Security, Modern Workplace, Hybrid Cloud, Multi-Cloud, and container technologies.
• An enthusiasm for working closely with sales teams and Account Managers, with an end-to-end mindset from identifying customer needs through to successfully closing the deal.
• Business-fluent German and good English skills complete your profile.
