Your Tasks
Frontline technical support for customers and OEM partners
Commissioning of new detector systems, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs in-house and at customer sites
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, representing DECTRIS in daily interactions
Support sales, product management, and development activities through technical expertise and customer feedback
Support customers in the integration, adoption, and effective use of modern software-based and network-connected detector solutions
Contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes, knowledge base development, and support infrastructure
Position is based in Japan with fieldwork and travel component
Your Skills
University degree in science or engineering
Experience with transmission electron microscopy (experience in troubleshooting or modifying electron microscopes is an advantage)
Strong interest in troubleshooting complex technical systems
Interest in modern software environments, data workflows, and connected technologies
Excellent communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Ability to work with scientists, engineers, and industrial partners
Comfortable working in Linux and Python environments
Fluent Japanese and English required
Valid driver’s license
