As our innovation portfolio continues to grow, we're looking for a Commercial Project Manager to provide the structure, coordination and delivery focus that ensures great ideas become successful commercial outcomes.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the centre of innovation activity across multiple businesses, helping to manage new propositions from concept through to successful adoption and business ownership.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Innovation & Development, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of innovation projects, pilots and commercial initiatives across our Energy Solutions businesses.

You'll provide the delivery discipline, governance oversight and stakeholder coordination needed to keep projects moving forward, measure performance, and ensure proven propositions are successfully transitioned into operational teams. Working across multiple functions and business units, you'll play a key role in turning innovative ideas into scalable, sustainable commercial solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Programme Management

• Manage multiple concurrent innovation projects, pilots and commercial initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones and delivery roadmaps.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and issues to keep initiatives on track.
• Coordinate activities across a diverse portfolio of workstreams.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

• Produce and maintain portfolio-level reporting for innovation and development initiatives.
• Track project progress, key milestones and commercial outcomes.
• Monitor benefits realisation against agreed business cases and objectives.
• Provide clear updates and insights to senior stakeholders and leadership teams.

Governance & Stage Gate Management

• Support the operation of innovation governance processes and decision-making forums.
• Ensure initiatives meet agreed stage gate requirements and evidence standards before progressing.
• Coordinate reviews, approvals and governance activities across the project lifecycle.
• Maintain documentation and reporting to support investment and delivery decisions.

Transition into Business-as-Usual

• Lead the handover of successful propositions and pilots into operational business teams.
• Ensure ownership, documentation and knowledge transfer activities are effectively managed.
• Support operational teams during transition to enable successful adoption and implementation.
• Drive smooth and sustainable integration of new propositions into existing business operations

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Technical, Data and operational teams across DCC Energy GB.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders and external partners to support successful project delivery.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to remove barriers and accelerate progress.
• Facilitate collaboration across multiple businesses and functions to achieve shared objectives.

You're a highly organised project professional who enjoys working in fast-moving environments where innovation, collaboration and commercial impact come together. You can balance attention to detail with the ability to keep multiple priorities moving forward, while engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Experience

• Proven project or programme management experience involving multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Experience working within complex, matrixed organisations and coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
• Strong reporting and performance tracking capabilities, including risk management and benefits realisation.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence and coordinate teams without direct management responsibility.
• Experience presenting information and progress updates to senior stakeholders.
