IT Solution Engineer

Job Description

The IT Competence Center R&D Tires provides a central platform for managing the product lifecycle (PLM) to the tires research and development department of Continental. The application supports the business processes to plan and execute international product and technology developments (e.g. activity and resource planning).

As an lT Solution Engineer (m/f/diverse) you are the interface between the business department and IT. You analyze requirements and develop business concepts together with the business departments, transform these into IT solution concepts and implement them in a cross-functional team. With your deep technical and business know-how you help finding user-oriented and simultaneously efficient solutions.

Your main tasks would be

• Leading IT projects to extend the system with new functionalities;
• Specification of user stories, process flows, and solution concepts;
• Configuration of data models, interfaces, and automatizations (Javascript Low-Code) directly in the system;
• Steering of implementation teams and software providers;
• Ensuring software quality;
• Managing incidents and change requests;
• Support and training of key-users.

Qualifications

• University degree in Computer Science or any other comparable field;
• +2 years of work experience as technical consultant or software engineer;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Advanced understanding of software engineering principles;
• Strong focus on software quality;
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and project management tools;
• Excellent communication and moderation skills;
• Proficient English language skills (written and spoken).
