Have you ever wanted to operate large machinery but weren't sure how to get started?
The Cleanaway Yellow Gear Academy has been designed to create pathways for women, female-identifying and non-binary people to enter operational and resource recovery careers.
This is a unique opportunity to receive paid training, gain hands-on experience operating heavy machinery and build a long-term career within one of Australia's leading resource recovery businesses.
No previous loader operating experience is required.
Based at Eastern Creek Organics on Dharug Country, you'll join a supportive team and receive structured training to become a competent Loader Operator.
Our Eastern Creek Organics facility processes food and garden organic material collected from homes and businesses. Rather than sending these valuable resources to landfill, we transform them into high-quality compost and soil products that support agriculture, landscaping and environmental sustainability.
This is a hands-on operational role working with unprocessed organic material, including food organics, garden organics and green waste, and helping convert those materials into valuable end products through the resource recovery process.
This opportunity offers a genuine pathway into a permanent operational career with ongoing development and progression opportunities.

Level 4 - 4 On 4 Off Roster - $57.20 per hour
This training period will continue until you successfully achieve your Verification of Competency (VOC) and are assessed as competent to operate equipment safely without supervision.
Once signed off, you will transition to a rotating 4 on, 4 off roster:
This roster includes weekends and public holidays as part of normal operations.
We encourage operators to become multi-skilled across a range of equipment and site operations.
You don't need prior operating experience.
This is more than a job. It's an opportunity to build confidence, gain valuable skills and establish a career in an industry helping create a more sustainable future.
At Cleanaway, we acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we operate and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
This recruitment activity may constitute a special measure under applicable anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation and is intended to increase participation in operational roles where women remain underrepresented.
All applicants will be assessed on merit and their ability to perform the inherent requirements of the role.
If you're ready to learn new skills, operate heavy machinery and contribute to a resource recovery industry that turns waste into valuable resources, we'd love to hear from you.
