What’s the role?

As a Manager, Business Controls and Monitoring, you’ll help teams make well-informed decisions that protect our customers and the business. Working as part of the first line risk team, you’ll provide practical advice to Customer and Business Assist and support leaders to manage risk confidently in their everyday operations.

You’ll help identify and assess risks, respond to incidents and issues, strengthen controls and guide remediation activities. You’ll also support business and transformation initiatives by helping teams understand the risks associated with change and develop appropriate responses.

Partnering with stakeholders across the business, you’ll turn complex risk matters into clear, actionable advice. You’ll contribute insights for senior management and governance forums while helping to build consistent risk practices and a strong, customer-focused risk culture.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Beford Park, Adelaide, with flexible working arrangements available.

What do I need?

You’ll bring practical risk expertise, sound judgement and previous experience building trusted relationships across a complex organisation.

• Experience within a risk management role in either Line 1 or Line 2 Risk, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Confidence advising on risk management, incidents, controls, issues, remediation and regulatory obligations in a way that's clear and actionable.
• Demonstrated experience providing timely risk insights and reporting to senior leadership.
• Experience supporting change initiatives by identifying and mitigating associated risk.
• The ability to drive continuous improvement and lean thinking across risk practices.
• The ability to build trust and influence leadership on risk and compliance matters, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
