About the Role

As a PMO Business Process Intern with the IO&E Research & Development Project Management Office, you will help document and standardize key PMO processes and create practical resources that help project teams work consistently and effectively.

You will work with PMO team members, project managers, functional partners, and subject matter experts to understand how processes are performed today, including the key steps, timing, roles and responsibilities, inputs, outputs, and tools used. You will turn what you learn into playbooks, templates, training materials, and selected technology-enabled solutions.

During the three-month internship, you will own one or more defined workstreams from discovery through delivery, with guidance from the PMO team. Examples may include documenting recurring financial-cycle or AOP processes, developing PMO resources, and exploring opportunities to use automation or AI to make established processes easier to execute.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Interview PMs, functional partners, and subject matter experts to understand established PMO processes and ways of working.
  • Document and standardize processes, including the how, when, who, key inputs and outputs, and tools involved.
  • Develop PMO playbooks, process guides, templates, checklists, and other reusable resources.
  • Create training materials, job aids, and onboarding resources that make PMO processes easy to understand and follow.
  • Support PMO SharePoint and other business tools; use Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or similar tools as appropriate.
  • Explore opportunities to use automation and AI, including AI-enabled assistants or agents, to reduce manual work or improve access to information.
  • Gather feedback, incorporate updates, and support implementation of completed PMO resources.
  • Manage defined workstream activities, timelines, and deliverables and communicate progress to the PMO team.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelors or graduate degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Project Management, Organizational Leadership, Information Systems, Engineering Management, or Data Analytics.
  • Must graduate between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 17th – August 6th OR May 24th – August 13th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN (Arbor Lakes) Boston Scientific Corporate location
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Comfort asking questions, learning unfamiliar processes, and working through ambiguity.
  • Coursework or experience in business process improvement, business analysis, operations, industrial engineering, information systems, business analytics, project management, or a related field.
  • Experience documenting processes, interviewing stakeholders, creating templates or training materials, or supporting process improvement.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, project portfolio management tools, or similar technologies.
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in AI, AI agents, automation, or emerging business technologies.

Minimum Salary: $ 43368

Maximum Salary: $ 73736

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.

Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
