Amcor is hiring a Printing Press Operator to support the production of high-quality packaging products. In this role, you will safely operate printing press equipment, maintain product quality, and ensure all customer specifications and production requirements are met.
Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities
Lead all aspects of press operation including setup, changeovers, startup, operation, and shutdown
Support continuous improvement and world-class manufacturing initiatives
Run jobs according to customer specifications, manufacturing standards, print specifications, and operating procedures
Complete production, quality, and job documentation accurately and completely
Work with and direct Press Assistants and Pit Crew members to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
Train Press Assistants and support their development through established training programs
Support product safety and quality requirements
Participate in 5S, WCM, and cross-training initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership Must Have
Previous manufacturing and machine operation experience
Ability to perform quality checks and interpret results to make machine adjustments
Basic computer skills and ability to learn production software and systems
Math, measurement, and reading skills
Ability to perform detailed visual inspections using measurement devices
Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods and perform climbing, crouching, and reaching tasks Preferred
Experience training or mentoring others in a manufacturing environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a fast-paced production environment
