The primary purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties for the Engineer department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO

Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority
Complete 3D designs for new, and existing machine components, fabrications and assemblies.
Translate 3D models into detailed drawings with an eye for detail
Create machine documentation from BOMs for manufacture through to parts manuals and after-sales service.
Layouts in AutoCAD for potential customers
Create presentations of the equipment in PowerPoint using 3D SolidWorks models that we provide
Assist with creation of operational manuals for the existing equipment
Assist with looking for the local suppliers for some parts (if required in the future)

Project Management: Effective team contributor; provides appropriate feedback and helps motivate team members to work toward common goals. Ability to recognize and respond proactively to project challenges and draws upon appropriate resources from other functional areas as needed to mitigate risk.
Communication: Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills when engaging with customers, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders. Ability to prepare and deliver engineering presentations to a variety of audiences.
Collaboration: Actively engages in problem solving and creative thinking process.
Inherent responsibility to train and mentor peers when appropriate.
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering degree or similar.
Experience in AutoCAD.
Experience designing for the food industry and an understanding of hygienic design requirements.
Experience in sheet metal design and an understanding of welding advantages and limitations.
Experience in SolidWorks would be an advantage.
